Neville MacKay is a highly talented retailer and floral designer who is well known throughout the Canadian retail industry for his creative flare, quality workmanship and entertaining personality. He's affectionately referred to as "That Bloomin' Neville!"
Neville's caught the attention of many media outlets as a rare find in the retail world! He has appeared as an expert and entertainer on many national TV and radio talk shows across the country including appearances on CTV, CBC, HGTV, WTN, and is a frequent guest on the Maritimes CTV network where he owns and operates a cutting-edge floral and retail gift shop in an upscale Halifax location.
Consider Neville as your next emcee! He has delighted audiences small and large with his witty remarks and flare for speaking. Past clients include the Centre for Arts & Technology, SPCA, Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia, and various floral and charity events across Canada.
His floral creations are sought after by both celebrities and show producers. He's developed works of art for Rod Stewart, Glen Close, Kelsey Grammer and Princess Ann. Neville has also designed florals for the 1988 Winter Olympics, and for the G-7 Halifax Summit Japanese and Soviet Delegations. Neville writes a monthly article for Canadian Florist Magazine (previously Cut & Dried) , bi-annually for Duly Noted, and his floral displays have been featured in Canadian Living Magazine. Neville is an accredited Floral Judge through the Canadian Academy of Floral Art and the World Flower Council. Educating the trade about the exciting world of retail is at the very forefront of Neville's career. His intimate knowledge of the industry allows him to relate to all levels including retailer/wholesaler and grower.
In September 2012 Neville was inducted into the Society of American Florists (SAF) Professional Floral Communicators - International (PFCI). PFCI members present educational programs on local, regional and national stages, teaching floral professionals how to be more successful. "Obtaining the PFCI credentials is an incredible honor," said PFCI Board Chairman Vince Butera, AAF, AIFD, PFCI, of Butera the Florist in York, Pa. "The meticulous review process qualifies each PFCI member as an expert floral spokesperson and communicator."
